These very straight features are shallow depressions on the landscape called iceberg keel marks. They were created when icebergs in a glacial lake became grounded and were pushed along the lake bed by prevailing winds, leaving a furrow behind them. These keel marks were formed in the basin of glacial Lake Barlow-Ojibway which existed for over 2000 years in northeastern Ontario. This lake is the main reason much of northeastern Ontario is flat: lake sediments buried older bedrock and glacial landforms.
