Have an interest in writing and editing? Inter Alia might be the place for you!
Who we are:
Inter Alia is the official student magazine of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law - Common Law Section.
As a 2020 Clawbie Award winner for Best Student Projects, Inter Alia seeks to promote discussion on current legal affairs for the legal community at large. We seek to fill the law school gap: public student opinion and analysis on the law. We also promote discussion on Ontario law school life and culture.
What we do:
Inter Alia publishes opinion pieces, case comments, news articles, and analysis on any topic that relates to law, politics, or student life. Our main objective is to provide a platform to foster healthy civil discourse on important issues facing both the legal profession and society.
Articles typically range between 750 - 1500 words in length, although shorter or longer submissions may be considered; in-text hyperlink citations (McGill not necessary); and submissions are accepted in French and English. In some cases, we will consider anonymous submissions.
Inter Alia provides an early opportunity to build your CV and a great way to showcase your research and writing skills.
