Being a professional singer is all about routine & supporting your voice. I treat my voice and body like an athlete. Some of these routines I practice everyday, others I become more strict with the few weeks leading up to big performances. This is especially important when you are a singer with chronic illness.
It may look glamorous, but it takes a lot of work and discipline to be a performer! π€πΆπ

Often singers come to me wanting to learn more about vocal health. Vocal warm-ups and exercises are important, but a lot of people don't realize that your mind & body are equally as important for your vocal health and function.
Staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, enjoying the outdoors, moving your body, using a foam roller + stretching and taking care of your nervous system (diaphragmatic breathing, medication, listening to music, going for a walk etc) can have a huge impact on your voice. A daily routine can be life changing for singers & professional voice users! π§ ππ»ββοΈ
