Lets talk Trends

Rustic Elegance was huge. Wood, calligraphy, greens and natural colour pallets. Some gold. A lot of burlap and lace.
// 𝟚𝟘𝟙𝟟
Still seeing greenery. A lot of blush and gold. Softer elements like watercolour florals. Delicate details but clean and whimsical.
// 𝟚𝟘𝟙𝟠
Agate slices. Gem stone pops of colour. If you were still using greenery, often it was in a bold way. Laser cut pockets. Metallics. Foil printing. Brush lettering.

Vellum. Deckled edge paper made a huge appearance. Wax seals and silk ribbon. “wedding colours” became “wedding pallets”. Watercolour envelope liners.

Where did the summer go? As we begin September, we are in full swing meeting newly engaged couples (yay!) for their upcoming weddings in the new year. This made me realize, (cue the nerves) I have never posted a photo of the girl who started HashtagPaper 4 years ago - f o u r years.. what?! So for all of the couples who I will be meeting in the coming months, hello!👋🏼 This is me, the girl you chat with behind the screen. I’m Kelsey, dog mom, mom, wife and friend.

Starting a new season is a point of reflection for me. If I could sum up the past 4 years into one statement it would be this quote by Diane Von Furstenburg, “I don’t know what I wanted to do, but I always knew the woman I wanted to be”

Growing up I never knew exactly what I wanted to do and often, I felt lost compared to those who did. But one thing that was a guiding light was knowing the type of woman I wanted to be. I knew I wanted to be a woman who was kind and warm. One who experienced the world around her and could hold her own in tough conversations. A woman who was strong, yet gentle, who recognized her weaknesses and also her strengths. I wanted to be a woman who found her passion in life and loved people with it.

I can’t say I’m all of these things yet but I do know this business has brought me closer to many of them. I’m so grateful to have found this niche that so uniquely highlights on many of my strengths and pushes me to grow in my weaknesses.
