Immense thanks to friends, neighbours and complete strangers in Old Ottawa East and surrounding communities who came out to support our nail trim event at the Main Street Farmers Market
on Saturday.
With your support we are thrilled to have raised a total of $477.55 to help animals in need.
As always, our brilliant volunteer team kept the day running smoothly whilst enjoying all the dogs and cats that came for their pawdicure, or just stopped by to say hello.
Special thanks to Mo and Anthony, our nail trim specialists, who took great care of every animal that came to see us.
Enjoy these moments that were captured throughout the day.

Heartfelt thanks and gratitude for another successful fundraiser last week-end.
Rockland is a wonderful community of pet lovers and Pet Valu staff always make us feel so welcome.
Cat and dog lovers came out to support us, and we even had Kiwi, the most beautiful conure, come out to get his nails trimmed - that was a first for us.
Special thanks to Mo and Crystal, our new volunteer nail trim experts who gave up their Saturday to support us and help animals.
And, of course, great thanks and appreciation to Karen Gravelle,Laura and Susan, who ensured the day's event went smoothly.

Approx one year and a half ago I got a call that shook us me to the core.
A gentleman called and requested that we humanely euthanize his 12-year-old dog. He was moving into a care facility due to his own failing health and truly believed she would not survive without him.
With heavy heart, I picked her up. Before heading into the clinic for her assessment, I took her for a quick walk around the block. Instantly, my sadness turned to awe. She raced around that block as fast as little Dachshund legs can run, absolutely bursting with joy.
Following a thorough exam and bloodwork, the veterinary team agreed: euthanasia was not an option. Though she was intact, overweight, and had several tumours, her bloodwork was normal. She was alert, vibrant, and full of life. The vet advised letting her enjoy her remaining time comfortably without invasive medical interventions.
I began to network her but with very little hope in my heart. Finding a home for a senior dog with medical needs felt daunting. What happened next was nothing short of a miracle.
Her stars aligned with a retired couple who had lost their own daschund and wanted to open up their home and hearts to a dog in need.
Bon Bon's transition was not perfect. She was ‘bitey’. They were patient and kind. She was stubborn. They gave her patience. She was aloof. They gave her space.
Slowly, the biting stopped and the snuggling began. She learned to tap Clark's foot for treats and spent her days joyfully exploring their 50-acre farm. She was thriving and very loved.
This week we received the heartbreaking news of little Bon Bon’s passing after one of her tumours ruptured.
We extend our deepest condolences and most heartfelt thanks to Barbie and Clark. They gave Bon Bon a year and a half of pure magic, providing the most joyful final chapter of life that any dog could ever wish for.
Sweet Dreams, darling little Bon Bon.
Hello again, it's me, Giovanni.
I know...I can't believe it either that I haven't found my forever home yet. What's up with that?
I'm loving this perfect summer weather and do you know what would make it even more perfect? Finding my new partner to start making summer memories together.
Don't be shy, just ask my humans about me!
