Autumcore postcard moments from my scenic trip to Charlevoix 🍂🌾⛰️

It took me way too long to visit Charlevoix — I had no idea what I was missing. 😳

If you’ve been curious about this stunning region but haven’t made the trip yet, consider this your sign. Here are my personal recommendations for a well-rounded, soul-nourishing autumn getaway in Charlevoix, Québec. ⛰️🍂⛴️

🌅 Catch golden hour at La Plage Baie St-Paul — just minutes from downtown, with stunning views and yes, your dogs are welcome!

🛏️ Stay at , a stylish new spot redefining the motel experience with short-term rental comforts right in the heart of town.

🧀 Visit .migneron, a family-run farmstead crafting small-batch cheeses and wines with local ingredients. There are also on-site tastings!

🎨 Stroll down Rue St-Jean-Baptiste, Baie St-Paul’s charming main street lined with artisanal restaurants and galleries showcasing talented local artists.

🏞️ Take a scenic drive to Les Éboulements — only 15 minutes away from Baie St-Paul, this hilltop village offers breathtaking views and was named one of Canada’s prettiest.

⛴️ Hop on the free ferry to L’Isle-aux-Coudres, a 23km island floating in the St. Lawrence River. Spend the afternoon exploring bakeries, boutiques, and seaside views that feel straight out of a storybook.

⛰️ And best of all, soak in the stunning views shaped by ancient history, the region’s dramatic hills and valleys were formed by a meteorite impact over 450 million years ago (!!!) Here are some some scenic viewpoints worth checking out:

→ Le Buton, Charlevoix’s signature lookout
→ Draveurs Visitor Centre at the national parc Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie
→ Various stopping points along Route des Montagnes and Route du Fleuve (scenic drives)
→ Belvédère Baie St-Paul lookout
