In the peak of the first COVID wave, Dr. Rajan Sankaran led a randomized, placebo-controlled trial in 4 top hospitals in India, testing individualized classical homeopathy alongside standard care.

The results of this trial have just been published in the prestigious peer reviewed Dutch journal Elsevier which specializes in scientific and medical content. Of the 269 participants, 133 (49%) were in the homeopathic group, and 136 (51%) were in the control group. All 269 participants tested positive for COVID infection, experiencing mild to moderate disease presentations when admitted to hospital.

What is important to highlight is that MORTALITY RATE WAS 10 TIMES LOWER IN THE HOMEOPATHIC GROUP vs the control (placebo) group! A total of 13 deaths occurred, with only one in the homeopathic group, while 12 died in the control group. ICU admission, need for oxygen, and need for ventilatory support were also significantly lower in the homeopathic group.

India has a unique distinction from adopting an integrative approach to COVID-19. This strategy was supported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of AYUSH. The AYUSH Ministry, which is responsible for Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy systems of medicine, facilitated clinical trials using an integrative approach.
If only such trials were available in Canada and the US!
