Sketch Comedy Live Performance Friday May 1st 7:30 pm.
Ottawa Acting Studio 738 Bank Street.
After a 7 week course the students will present a series of sketches written and performed by the class. Instructor Tim Progosh - a veteran of sketch for over 30 years - will introduce the show and lead a Q&A after the show.
Sketch comedy a staple of Canadian culture, is slowly dying - let's see if we can recreate the interest for this art form. Come and see what can be done by a group of strangers who commit to the sketch. You will be surprised, you will laugh!!!

I'm teaching 3 classes starting in March on Sundays - Acting for Camera Level 1 and advanced - and Sketch Comedy! Yes! I did sketch comedy for 25 years and this class is done in conjunction with the Canadian Comedy Hall of Fame, with a nod to the legends who perfected the art form : like Wayne and Shuster, Peppiatt and Alylesworth, The Second City City This class ends in a performance!! 🎭A few months ago Andrew and I decided to try something new… an acting class for improv and sketch comedy. For the past few months for an hour and a half on every Sunday, we committed to the silliness, learned to listen and become better collaborators, and for me it helped build confidence and embrace creativity in an unexpected way. As a writer, it was also a good reminder for characters to be aware and react to all the crazy situations I put them in.
