A: I’ve lived in Ottawa my whole life, so it means a lot to work on projects that directly impact and improve our community.

Getting to Know… Carlos Da Silva
Senior Technical Advisor, GBA Group
After 43 years in engineering consulting, Carlos joined GBA in 2023 and brought a wealth of experience with him. His calm, solution-first mindset and deep technical knowledge make him a go-to advisor for complex projects like The Ottawa Hospital’s New Campus Development.
Carlos started his career in 1980 as a geotechnical and materials testing engineer, eventually rising to President & CEO of a major Ottawa firm. His fingerprints are on some of the region’s most iconic projects from Lansdowne Park and the Shaw Centre to Parliament Hill and the Ottawa Heart Institute.
Known for uniting teams and offering practical, proven solutions, Carlos is the kind of leader who brings confidence to the room without ever needing to raise his voice.
