I know its hard to believe but it will be warm and sunny again soon so its time to start thinking about some exciting outdoor projects. Check out some of the landscaping work we did last year.

We are rebuilding the front face of brick on a house near Lebreton Flats. The whole exterior wythe (wall or layer) on the front of the building was badly bowing out. The original house burnt down in 1900 in the great fire of Lebreton Flats.
We came across what might have been cutting edge technology of the time; the back of the exterior brick wythe was parged over, which is unusual. We are speculated that this could have been an attempt at vapour barrier. There is also a larger than usual air space between the two wythes, about 2", which may have been done for better insulation.
