We’re looking for dynamic, dedicated, and talented actors to bring characters to life during an exclusive table read for a new sci-fi series in development.

Set in the year 2060, where reality and technology blur, this bold and intimate story centre’s characters navigating love, identity, and connection in unexpected ways.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a development lab presentation supported by the Justice for My Sister BIPOC Sci-Fi Lab.

Jason Sharpe - Male, 40s, Black. A commanding boss, tech-world power player.

Harriet Osayande – Female, 50s–60s, Nigerian. A vibrant, faith-driven woman who masks her concern for her daughter with humor and prayer

Monday Osayande – Male, 50s–60s, Nigerian. Harriet’s husband. Wise and gentle. Often the quiet observer, but when he speaks, it’s with impact.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Ontario-based Executive Producer to join our Afrofuturist sci-fi series LOVELOCK as part of a development grant application to the Ontario Creates IP Fund – Linear Stream (due April 15).
This is a non-union development-stage opportunity ideal for someone with experience in digital series or feature films and an interest in diaspora narratives, African folklore, or grounded sci-fi.

About the Project:
LOVELOCK is a 6-episode limited series set in Benin City, Nigeria in 2060, exploring themes of virtual intimacy, identity, and ancestral memory through a speculative, immersive dating app.
We are currently in Phase 2 of the Justice for My Sister BIPOC Sci-Fi Lab, with the pilot episode targeted for completion by June 2025.

What We Are Looking For:
✔ Ontario-based executive producer
✔ Experience with digital series or feature films
✔ Available to provide a letter of commitment by April 12
✔ Open to continued collaboration if development funding is secured

We’re on the hunt for talented actors to bring to life the vibrant characters of our upcoming feature film!

🔸 Meet the Characters:
• Omosivie ‘Ivie’: (Aged 18-22) A bright and resilient young woman, grappling with her new life in a foreign city.

• Wonderful ‘Won’: (Aged 15-18) Ivie’s protective younger brother, with a quiet strength and an observant eye.

• Grand: (Aged 12-15) The youngest, full of curiosity and mischief, providing light-hearted moments amidst the challenges.
