Amazon Business Canada conducted a Return to Office Report of nearly 1,600 office workers via the Angus Reid Forum.
➡️ Only 12% say that working entirely at their physical workplace is their ideal working scenario moving forward, the report found.
➡️ And 43% say they would be likely to look for a new job if their current employer mandated they return to the office full-time.
➡️ Statistics Canada’s latest employment survey shows 37%of Canadians are still working most hours from home.
➡️ For the next year, two in five — 43% — expect to work primarily from home, the Amazon report said.
➡️ Nearly one in five — 18% — expect to work from home, or remotely, indefinitely.

Statistics Canada has released employment statistics for the month of October. The report signals the economic rebound is intact, with companies finding workers as Covid-19 restrictions vanish. Yet, the data also illustrate how future job gains will return to more normal levels -- which averaged 23,000 per month in the two years prior to the pandemic -- as labor slack diminishes.
