We have changed our "Dream Laps" format for this year and will be doing our events on week day afternoons at Calabogie Motorsport Park.

We will be offering basic and advanced instruction by request. Track time will be in two 2 hour segments and the first will be from 1 to 3pm and the next from 3 to 5pm and then the provided supper at 5pm. Parking lot pylon course for formula car familiarization and skid pad training is also offered. Classroom basic and advanced instruction is also offered.

"DREAM LAPS" At Calabogie Motorsport Park

• 2 hours of uninterrupted evening lapping between 5pm & 7pm on the following dates:
May 13 Wednesday

September 7 (Labour Day) Monday
• tailored to novices. Will be a "follow the leader" format with instructors until the student is ready to go it alone.
• Classroom meeting is mandatory at 4:30pm
• Any car is eligible as long as it is in safe operating condition
• cost is $160 for the evening. A supper is provided at 7pm.

Reminder: "Dream Laps" (Novice Lapping) lunch meeting

We will be holding a lunch meeting for novice lapers at St Anthony Soccer Club (Tifosi Clubhouse) on Sunday Feb 15th at 12 noon. Lunch is $25 for a huge feed so please rsvp [email protected] if you wish to attend. Our schedule of 5 evening lapping sessions of 2 hrs each will be discussed. Please note that this is in conjunction with Formula Libre club and Calabogie GT racing meetings which will occur in separate rooms after the lunch.

Dream Zone 2-seater Formula 2000 Build Update

After almost 2 years of conceptualization, planning and design, here's what we've accomplish so far:
- Race car has been chopped, extended and reinforced.
- Side-pods (reinforced safety cages) added to accommodate passenger legs around driver position and repositioning of fuel cells.
- Bodywork modifications, redesign and refitting.

Currently reinstalling engine, gearbox and rear axle.

We would like to announce the first annual meeting for our new "Dream Laps" events. We will discuss the format for these evening lapping events. We hope to hold 5 such events this year.

In conjunction we will be holding our annual lunch meeting on Sunday February 15th at 12 noon for the Formula Libre Club. It will be held at St Anthonys soccer club (Tifosi club) at the intersection of Preston st and St Anthony's in Ottawa. Cost $25 each and the food will be awesome as always. We will discuss passing rules for evening races and catch up with good friends. Plus anything else you want.

You can bring an interested friend too! Simply let me know who will attend so that we can order the food and facilities.

Want to drive on a race track?...

We have booked WEDNESDAY Sept 17th for a lapping session at CALABOGIE MOTORSPORT PARK - 2 hours at the end of the day
We are looking for 14-15 people that would be interested in lapping (point-by passing) with their race car (open wheel or sedan), or even with their personal car or sports car. This would be a unique opportunity for anyone who would like to experience the Calabogie track at their own pace. The cost would be $150 each.

Want to learn to drive the track … In a FORMULA Race Car?

We have Formula Mazda’s available at a cost of $250 for 25 minutes on track doing follow the leader. THIS IS AN AMAZING DEAL - much cheaper than a speeding ticket and increased insurance rates!

This is the only opportunity for novices to drive "one of Canada's best race track" in their car or a rental formula car with instruction.
