Ontario is officially doing away with license plate renewal stickers. You will still have to renew and pay your outstanding fines.

Please remember that WIND is a comprehensive claim on your automobile insurance. This includes any flying objects due to wind (downed trees, debris etc). If you have comprehensive coverage and use it, it will not affect your rates.

Wind damage is also standard in all home insurance policies. Please remember that when severe weather events happen restoration companies can only get out to you as fast as their amount of workers will allow. At times they may have to prioritize larger emergencies first. Restoration workers do NOT work for the insurance companies. They are locals who at times may struggle to get out to see you but they will be there. Please have patience.

We have been receiving many questions about this weekends Freedom Convoy protest happening here in Ottawa.

It appears the intent of this protest is to remain peaceful. However, just like all protests there is always a risk of some not following the message they are trying to relay.

Please be assured that if there is any unrest which results in damage to your property this would be considered "riot" or "vandalism". Such perils are definitely covered by most home insurance policies.
