The Ottawa housing market in September 2024 saw an average home price of $685,551, a 3.8% monthly increase and a 1.5% annual rise. Single-family homes averaged $824,498, while townhouses were priced at $551,259. Apartment prices rose 3.5% month-over-month to $433,905. Despite sales increasing 10.7% year-over-year, inventory also grew, leading to a balanced market with a sales-to-new-listings ratio of 45%. The market remains more affordable than other Canadian cities like Toronto and Vancouver.
