Creating Cards with Mary
I am an Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator in Canada. I love to make cards and want to show you
October 22, 2021
Hello everyone,
I can't believe that I haven't posted anything in over a year but with the last crazy year maybe I can. Lockdowns and other things made it seem like Monday was Thursday and May was March etc.. Since last Christmas I have not been myself. I have depression, anxiety and also some PTSD. I had a hard go of it which resulted in a couple of drug changes and additions. I was hospitalized for one change because they were doing it quickly and had to monitor me. That was an experience being in the hospital during Covid!!
Through all of this I felt like doing nothing and that is pretty much what I did. I did not feel like crafting and didn't even want to go in to my craft room.
At the end of last month I created my first card since Dec 25th. I was a bit anxious but it felt good.
I will start to post cards again soon. I am not going to say every Monday---for now we will just see how it goes.
October is Mental Health Awareness Month. Many peoples mental health has been affected especially over the last two years. Be kind to one another. One thing that put a smile on my face was every time I received a card.
The most important thing that I have finally learned is that I AM ENOUGH.
Hugs to all of you and like I mentioned I hope to start posting again soon.
Mary

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN
Hello and can you believe that it almost December?
I would like to share something that I think all of you will want!!1 It is the Christmas Countdown Kit. It comes preassembled and is made out of sturdy cardboard. The boxes are approx. 2"X2"X2". Just the right size for a chocolate treat, a note or a small gift. Last year I put a pair of Christmas earrings in a box for my daughter.
It is a fun and fast project to make with your kids(even the big ones), your grandchildren, your friends, your significant other, etc.
If you want, you can turn the boxes around and decorate them as a countdown to Halloween, a birthday, an anniversary - you get the idea :) It will last for years to come!

Blossoms in Bloom stamp/Many Layered Blossoms dies
Today I made 3 cards with the dies.
I started out trying to make the pink feminine one. It literally took me about a week to figure out, even waking up at 4 a.m. one day thinking about it! My leftover thin frames led me to make 2 more cards. It's neat how you can use one set and get three different looks.
Which one do you like the best?

I made another Christmas Slimline Triple Easel Card except this time I made it a bit fancier. I used blue foil paper, Feels like Frost DSP - I just love this paper! - and the Poinsettia Dies. The dies cut and emboss at the same time. Isn't that neat?! The sentiments are from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. I hope that you like it!!!

These are some of the Christmas cards that I made in 2019 and before. I found out in doing this today that I cannot just add photos to an album - I have to post them first.
Hope you have fun browsing them!

I made my first Christmas card of the year today!
It is called a Slimline Triple Easel Card. Slimline cards are really trending at the moment and for Christmas I wanted to add the easel element to it. I hope that you like it!
