Many people think Just The Two Of Us is a Bill Withers song alone, but it was actually recorded by jazz saxophonist Grover Washington Jr. with Bill Withers providing the vocals. The song appeared on Grover Washington Jr.'s 1980 album Winelight and became one of the biggest crossover hits between jazz, R&B, and pop.

It won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song and helped introduce a large mainstream audience to contemporary jazz. Bill Withers himself did not originally intend to record it for one of his own albums—it was written specifically for the Winelight project and became one of the most recognizable songs of his career.
