Oh, sure, it doesn’t look like much now, but it will once it’s off the needles and blocked!

Test knitted the smaller size of the hat for How Sweet it Is Cardigan set.

I’ve had numerous downloads of my Canadian Flag pattern (a free download) in the past week… coincidence? The pattern is still available on the old Canadian Guild of Knitters’ website - www.cgknitters.ca

Finally kicking the hat habit - this is a stole of sorts - about 17” across, that will be a cover for my stitching chair. Yarn is Patons’ Canadiana Tweeds, pattern is from Vogue Stitchionary 2 - cables.

I’ve also been making hats for charity. These were made from Major, by Universal.

It has been “Hat Central” around here for the past couple months. I did hats for all of the grandkids. (I posted the Santa hat for the youngest back in October.) The sparkly yarn is Shine by King Cole, and the garter stitch hat is worsted weight by Patons

Christmas is coming! I made this little Santa hat - may not fit the grandson (youngest) right now, but maybe next year

And in other news, I returned home from a Baltic knitting cruise in June. Our classes included Selbu mittens. Here’s one of the many samples I made for it - none of my tension swatches wanted to play nicely.

I’m still working on that new design… here’s another of the samples for it.

Diving into some mosaic knitting for a new design. The solid cream section is the mosaic chart interpreted into knit-purl design. This is linen yarn, and I think things will look different once it’s been through a laundry cycle later today. What do you think about what’s going on? Bottom is garter stitch-based, middle is stocking stitch based. The bottom of the cream is the chart worked once for every line, and the top of the cream is the chart worked twice for every line.
