Conversations with L 😂
Me: "Wanna help me make my coffee?"
For reference, he loves putting the pod in the Keurig, pushing down the lid, and hitting start.
L: "I'm busy."
He was playing a video game 🤣
We walked into Costco and passed something we actually needed almost right away.
Could we stop and get it? Nope 😂
L wasn't having the stop, so we kept walking.
I've learned that sometimes a few extra minutes following his lead makes the whole trip go smoother. What looks like a detour is often exactly what he needs before we can get to the task at hand.
A year ago I probably would have been focused on sticking to the plan. These days, I know a little flexibility can go a long way.
Another Dollarama find for the collection 🌱🍄
Right outside the store, L was busy pointing out the “big mushroom” and the “small mushrooms” 😂
At this point we officially have a tiny indoor garden growing.

Every time we go into Dollarama, L picks another one for his collection 😂
At this point I think we’re building a tiny garden one trip at a time 🌱
Does anyone else’s kid collect the most random things?

Got maybe 4 hours of sleep and did school drop off with what I’d call messy hair 😅
Tell me I’m not alone…
Do you get yourself fully ready for school drop off every morning, or are you showing up however you can?
I’ve been quiet this week.
It’s been a busy one, and L has been home sick, so that’s been the focus.
Sometimes that’s just how it goes

Bowling season is officially done until the fall 🎳
It was a good season. It really flew by, and I enjoyed it more than I expected. The people definitely made it even better.
L does things his own way
Back and forth on his plasma car, YouTube on, fully in his own world

Let’s be real, I’ve slacked the past few weeks… and that’s okay. I’ve done what I can, when I can.
Iron infusion day didn’t go as smoothly as usual. My arm started stabbing at the injection site, so everything had to be slowed down. Warm blankets, extra time, and even a saline bag after, which I’ve never needed before.
By the time I got home, I was completely wiped and slept for a few hours.
Then the Jays game, which had me out most of the day waiting in line early for a giveaway. I didn’t sit down until I was in my seat, and my feet are definitely feeling that today.
Yesterday? I crashed hard from it all.
So this is my kitchen table right now… the catch-all. Please tell me I’m not alone in this 😅
The good part is I can already feel the iron infusion helping. My energy is coming back and I actually want to tackle things I usually struggle with.
Being iron deficient anemic can really suck.
This isn’t the easiest thing to share, but I’m not going to sugar coat it. This is real life.
