My little Miss helped me pick the colours for these and where to put the colours, so I forgot to take a picture of the fibre with dye on before steaming, but this is how they washed out!! Now to let them dry.

Dye day? Why not. I’ve been neglecting my dyes and this page. Sorry everybody😅. Have a great day, I’ll post the process.
Right now I am soaking my fibre in water and vinegar for an hour before I throw dye at it and then steam it in plastic bags

Polwarth silk blend! Feels so soft and lovely. That’s one batch I’ve dyed today. Currently dyeing some BFL, baby alpaca, and a mystery roving found in my fibre hoard. Hope everyone’s had a lovely day, I’m procrastinating about making dinner.

Dyed some tweeds last night. Not 100% sure what sheep variety they are, I’ll look it up before I list them tomorrow.

Last nights dyeing. I don’t think I’ve dyed Rambouillet yet, it took the dye SO NICELY!

A little photo dump of all the fibre I have dyed over the past week. Night time dyes when the kids are tucked in seem to be the best time to dye, And then I leave the fibre bagged in the dye/steam pot over night and deal with it in the morning 😊
