Harvie Ranching

Another busy week of Ranch tours, we always enjoy greeting friends, touring through the cattle and supporting Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. Lyla stepped up to explain our ranch & performance horse program to prospective Veterinarian students.

High Bluff Stock Farm has been a ranch we’ve enjoyed working with for years, we always enjoy a visit from family members, this time Jared, Fawn, Digby & Sullivan.

The show barn is heating up today, it’s full of cattle and excitement. The Harvie girls will be competing at the Canadian Jr All Breeds Show in Bashaw next week! The Charolais & Hereford show/sale cattle are in for halter breaking.

Our fall Female & Genetics Sale date is moving to December 14-15, 7pm MT! Plan to join us for cattle viewing, great food and beverages during closeout at Harvie Ranching. You’ll access top quality Hereford females, embryos along with exciting semen opportunities!

A lovely tour from the President of the Denmark Charolais Society, Jorgen Larsen and fellow breeders today. This month we have hosted superb breeders from across Canada (Maritimes, Alberta & Manitoba), Wisconsin, USA, Australia and Denmark.

The OJA & OYCSA are super excited to introduce Cole & Jill Harvie of Olds, Alberta, as the Showmanship and Conformation Judges for Double Feature 2026.

Cole and Jill Harvie are the owners and operators of Harvie Ranching, a family-run purebred cattle operation near Olds, Alberta. They raise and sell
Hereford and Charolais cattle, focusing on strong performance, sound structure, and genetics that work for both commercial producers and purebred breeders. The ranch hosts annual bull and female sales and has a reputation for quality cattle production.
