⛰️ Meet the Sheep River Dog Rescue “M”Litter! ⛰️

These three sweet sisters have officially arrived in foster care and are settling in nicely while they get ready for the next chapter of their journey!

In honour of our beautiful Alberta mountain backdrop, they’ve been named after the iconic Three Sisters: Hope, Charity, and Faith. 🤍

We have a feeling these girls are going to steal a few hearts, so stay tuned. Their official adoption posts will be coming soon!

🎶 Mama Mango’s Funky Fruit Loops! 🍎🍐🍒

These cool pups have been soaking up the spotlight, and we’re happy to report that 6 of the 9 have already found their forever homes!

That means Kiwi (m), Clementine (f), and Fig (f) are still looking for families of their own. 🤍 As their siblings head off to start new adventures, these three are still hoping their people are out there. They’re just as lovable, just as deserving, and ready to fill a home with puppy snuggles, laughter, and plenty of love! 🥰

Let’s help Kiwi, Clementine, and Fig find the families they’ve been waiting for, because every good song deserves the perfect ending! 🐾🎵

A huge thank you to Freddy’s Okotoks for hosting such an incredible fundraising and adoption event in support of Sheep River Dog Rescue! 🙏🏻

Thanks to the generosity of Freddy’s, their staff, and everyone who came out to support, an amazing $3,220 was raised for the dogs in our care. 🐾

As a 100% volunteer-run, donation-based rescue, donations like this make a real difference. They help provide veterinary care, food, supplies, and everything our dogs need while they wait for their forever homes.

We’re so grateful to have Freddy’s as a community partner and to be supported by businesses that care so deeply about local rescue efforts! ❤️

Introducing one of the sweetest boys around… Dozer!

Dozer was a bit of an unexpected addition to the rescue. When we went to pick up Mama Sassy last week, we found this handsome guy sticking close by her side and doing his best to look after her. 🥹 Of course, we couldn’t leave him behind!

Since coming into foster care, Dozer has shown us what a sweetheart he truly is. He absolutely adores people and is happiest when he’s soaking up affection from anyone willing to give it. Whether he’s leaning in for pets, following you around the house, or simply enjoying being near people, Dozer has a heart of gold! 💛

He’s also done wonderfully with the other dogs he’s met and has proven himself to be an easygoing, friendly companion. He’s total love bug who just wants to be loved in return. 🥰

Dozer is still learning the ropes of life as a house dog, but he’s settling in nicely and taking everything in stride. We think he would make a fantastic family dog and would likely do very well with children thanks to his gentle, affectionate nature!

🐾 Our adoption process is designed to support both our dogs and their families. Every dog goes home on a trial adoption period (up to two weeks) so you can make sure it’s the right fit before committing, and we provide all supplies needed during that time.

Adoption Fee: $585
Includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, multiple deworming treatments, routine health checks, and spay/neuter fully covered when age-appropriate.

Come see us at Pet Valu D’Arcy from 12-4 for the PAW Month Dog Wash fundraiser. We’ll be scrubbing muddy pups, hanging out with some of our adoptable dogs, and enjoying an afternoon of puppy cuddles!

It’s Lemonade Day in Okotoks! 🍋

We’re excited to share that Sunny Day with DJ is donating 10% of their proceeds to Sheep River Dog Rescue! 💛

If you’re heading out today, stop by their stand outside the Okotoks Recreation Centre between 11AM and 3PM for a refreshing lemonade while supporting a wonderful young entrepreneur and helping dogs in need. 🐾
