One Fifty First Photography

Day 3 at CICE: Grant McConnell filled my bucket with deeper insights into composition, Alec Watson made connections between film and photography, and Chris Sikorsky reminded us consider and live out our core values as photographers. (Grant, you made me want to return to University. Who is going to break it to ? 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Day 2 at CICE started out with new techniques for portraits of athletes with Alison Carlino, learning how to create travel images that bring the viewer inside the photo with Dee Potter and ended by celebrating my Judge’s Choice Award! (I’ll share the image a little later.)

Maybe you’ve heard the phrase, “The builder’s house is never finished”. Well, perhaps it should be “The photographer’s images are never printed”. 😂 I always leave our own edits until I’m caught up on client work, but we were so busy this summer and fall that it never happened. So, here are the images we captured in AUGUST. I’ll still print a few for grandparents and our home, but for now, this will do. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our home to yours. We wish you the best in 2026!

This means that their image is among the top images submitted in that category and has a chance to represent Canada at the World Photographic Cup. THIS light. The Butlers added on a family session to their son’s prom photos and I’m oh so glad they did. This family has so much joy and I’m so thankful to be the one they trust to photograph them.
