Day 3 at CICE: Grant McConnell filled my bucket with deeper insights into composition, Alec Watson made connections between film and photography, and Chris Sikorsky reminded us consider and live out our core values as photographers. (Grant, you made me want to return to University. Who is going to break it to ? š¤·š¼āāļø)

Maybe youāve heard the phrase, āThe builderās house is never finishedā. Well, perhaps it should be āThe photographerās images are never printedā. š I always leave our own edits until Iām caught up on client work, but we were so busy this summer and fall that it never happened. So, here are the images we captured in AUGUST. Iāll still print a few for grandparents and our home, but for now, this will do. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our home to yours. We wish you the best in 2026!

World Photographic Cup Team Canada is delighted to announce that a select panel of curators chose a photograph by JoEllen Sevcenko, to move on to Round 3 of the 2025 Team Canada selection process. This means that their image is among the top images submitted in that category and has a chance to represent Canada at the World Photographic Cup. We wish them luck in the final round. www.wpcteamcanada.com

Announcement: World Photographic Cup āTeam Canada is pleased to announce that an image by JoEllen Sevcenko, has made it past the Preliminary Round of the 2026 WPC Team Canada selection process. Their image was chosen by at least one of our esteemed curators to move on to Round 2 for discussion. It takes courage to put your photography forward for a chance to represent Canada, and while there are many rounds involved in the selection process, having an image move on is the first step in the journey. https://wpcteamcanada.com/
