Wild Roots Niagara

I’ve heard about this but have never seen it in real life! The natural enemy of the hornworm is parasitic wasps. They lay their eggs on the caterpillar and when they hatch, they feed on their host. Brutal!

First time growing White wood aster (eurybia divericata)! Dense clusters of tiny white flowers, thrives in shade/dappled shade and medium clay soil. I have this one in a tall pot with a wire cage because I have a hungry rabbit and vole problem. 😭

Had the opportunity to assist in planting 200 native trees at Malcolmson Eco-Park with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. Was amazing to work with so many environmentally enthusiastic volunteers 🫶🌳

An elementary school teacher contacted me about doing a planting project with her students and wanted an easy-to-grow wildflower. I chose Agastache foeniculum (Anise Hyssop).

Each portion was individually packaged for 18 students.
