Here’s how it works:

1. Open your Canva project and drop in the image you want to work with.
2. Click the photo to highlight it, then hit Edit Photo from the top toolbar.
3. Scroll through the left-side menu, find the Magic Studio section, and select Magic Expand.
4. Choose your dimensions: pick a preset size like Whole Page or 1:1, or go Free Form and drag the corners to your perfect fit.
5. Hit Magic Expand, wait a moment, and the AI will serve up 4 different background variations to choose from.
6. Browse your options, pick your favourite, and click Done. Not feeling any of them? Hit Generate New Results and try again!
