Hot ,dusty, wicked Mx racing had this weekend at Campbell River Motocross for round 8. Both boys rode well once again, Carter with a 2nd place in 85cc 12-16 and a 2nd place in schoolboy1 on the brand new gasgas. Bennett scored a 3rd place in 50cc 7-8 and 4th in 50cc open.

This about sums up Vancouver Island Motocross Association. Tell me I’m wrong. Didn’t know most of the people we have met in the past couple years but feel like we have known you our whole lives
The moto world is fu***ng weird.
You can race against somebody for 10 years and never have a real conversation with them.
Then one weekend your kid crashes, and that same dude is the first one running across the track.
You can spend all season trying to beat somebody…
then end up standing next to them in the pits at 10pm, eating cold pizza and talking about suspension.
Somebody can protest your kid on Saturday…
and lend you a clutch lever on Sunday.
😂
You’ll meet people you’d probably never speak to anywhere else in life.
Different towns.
Different backgrounds.
Different everything.
But put a dirt bike between your legs and suddenly none of that s**t matters.
You’re all standing in the same mud.
Paying the same ridiculous entry fees.
Chasing the same damn checkered flag.
And somehow, somewhere along the way…
the people you thought were competition become your people.
Not everybody.
We all know there are some as****es. 😂
But enough of them.
Enough that when something goes wrong, somebody always seems to show up.
No announcement.
No cameras.
No “look what I did for the community.”
Just
“What do you need?”
That’s the part of motocross that never shows up in the results.
And honestly…
it might be the best part.

Had some issues last weekend with a blown top end and crank. I found a way to fix the issue. Big thanks to VI Powersports and Tony Orlando helping us get into a new gasgas 125.
Another great weekend alberni_valleymx . Thanks once again for making round 7 a good one. Both Carter and Bennett rode really well. Bennett maintained a 4th position in 50cc open and 50cc 7-8. Carter manage to blow up his 125 in schoolboy and scored a 3rd place in 85cc 12-16. After to the blow up Carter must have been pi**ed off because I thought for sure he was going to blow the 85cc. Well done Carter and Bennett. Also would like to thank Mike at Holeshot Suspension for a quick return on a blown shock for the 125.
Great weekend in Port alberni. Big thanks to alberni_valleymx for great track conditions.
