After over four decades, we have closed the doors on Senini Graphics. Thank you to all our customers for the many years of support. Support local!

We loved custom printing and embroidering your garments and working alongside local businesses. Senini Graphics opened for business in downtown Nanaimo back in 1983. The same year Microsoft Word was invented, M*A*S*H came to an end, Challenger made its first flight and Dennis Wilson from the Beach Boys drowned. In other words, a long time ago. For nearly four decades now, and ~30 years from the sa

We love working on .midisland T-shirts.

The combination of colors makes such for such an eye-catching design.

This reel highlights my very long and very special friendship with Carl Edgar, The Edgar family, and friends out at the Daht.

I first met Carl way back in the mid 70's on my first of what would become many journeys back to the land of the Ditidaht.
In the 70's and 80s, my brother Blake and I, along with many of our good buddies, hiked the West Coast Trail several times. Each time we went, we would try and stop at the narrows for a day or two and spend time with Carl and his brothers; Matt, Aaron, and Sam before heading out to Clo-oose or Tsuquadra.

After several years of hiking the trail, on one occasion, while spending a few days at Whyac, where Carls anchesters once live, Carl suggested that we try doing the trip in canoes rather than by backpacking.
Entering and exiting the WCT at Nitinaht Lake.

From then on, we did just that. We would load up the vehicles and drive out to Ditidaht Reserve by way of Cowichan Lake, launch the canoes from the reserve, and paddle several miles down the lake to the narrows.

Back in the mid 80's, while on one of our canoeing adventures, myself and my good buddy Greg Tait were camped at the mouth of the Cheewhat River, not far from the old village of Clo-oose, Sacred land of the Dititaht people. We had been granted permission to camp here by Carl Edgar.

What a privilege!!

It was there at the mouth of the Cheewhat that we would catch our dinner of fresh dunginess crab as shown in the pictures from that trip.

So the crab you see me holding in the photo and in the close-up was the same crab we used when creating one of the first t-shirt designs for Carl to sell to hikers when they arrive at the Nitinaht Narrows.
We have been doing this design every year since.

This video shows some snippets of what we have just completed for Shelley and Carl this season. 07/25/2024
