The money raised each year is spent on sustainable development projects in Latin America, which is funded and built by chapter volunteers on an annual outreach trips. Since 2005, over 2,000 Students Offering Support volunteers have tutored over 25,000 students and raised more than $700,000 for various rural communities across Latin America.By employing efficient entrepreneurial business practices, the Students Offering Support model provides Vancouver Island University students an effective vehicle to acquire amazing extra-curricular experience, while helping children around the world gain an education and break the cycle of poverty.
