Ever pass this property near the Dams and wonder "what's the deal with that place?" (615 & 699 Harewood Road)
The two homes were demolished some time in the 2010's, and the City granted a building permit for a couple 4-plexes in 2018, but that never happened. Then in 2020 there was another application but it was canceled in 2021.
I like to see the photos of the buildings as though they weren't demolished yet. The second photo shows the view from the alley in back.

Here are 70 photos of Nanaimo in 1966, taken from a dash-cam video the Ministry of Transport did in that year. It starts at the Haslam Creek bridge and goes to where Cabela's is now. Nicol St looked really nice!
