RELAY FOR  LIFE 06/08/2024

10 years ago.

The Cancer Sword Project started on it goal of getting 1000 pictures of people holding the Cancer Sword pledging to never give up the fight against Cancer & turning them into a wonderful photo Collage Art piece, as a testament to the destruction of Cancer forever.

With over 300 photos before Covid forced the Cancer Sword to be placed aside. Now, 4 years after Covid fit. It may be time to bring it back out to once again help others to fight Cancer.

CANCER WON'T GIVE UP, NETHER WILL I.

Had a wonderful time at this years Relay for Life, I Met allot of fantastic people and took allot of pictures of ALL THE PEOPLE THAT ARE FIGHTING BACK.

(SORRY, FOR ANY INCORRECTLY SPELT NAMES)

THE CANCER SWORD 05/19/2024

WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

INTRODUCING THE CANCER SWORD,

After losing to many of my family and after a close life long friend & Brother ('Spyder' Don Wright) died from Cancer in 2007. I took the ideas, we shared and decided to make them come alive. In 2009, I figured out how to do it and the whole Sword took years to collect the hair and then took around two years to create and everything has been Bronzed and then put together to create this Wonderful Unique Sword The Cancer Sword is my gift as a symbol that we will NEVER GIVE UP THE FIGHT to find a Cure. Found in the OLD logo of The Canadian Cancer Society, The sword is an armament that is representing every Cancer patient’s personal fight to the death.

My Cancer Sword is 46 " from blades tip to the bottom of the hilt and has a blade length of Three Feet. The sword is created from a Real hair as well from wigs of long hair, Three plastic Daffodils and two Real Wishbones. .

~~~~The Description and Meaning ~~~
The Blade is made from a REAL HAIR as well as some Wigs of Long Hair that has been Braided.
~ Represents the pain, suffering and loss of freedom, that people how have to live with Cancer go through, as well as the lost of hair through treatment that comes to many people with Cancer.
The Sword Blade has been plated in Bright Copper.
~ Represents the everlasting brilliant effort that the medical profession puts out every year for the cure to cancer.
The two small REAL Wish Bones.
~ Represent all the wishes, hopes and prayers that we all put out for a cure to this terrible disease.
The 'Cancer Sword' will be used by the Cancer Sword Project to create a Collage of 1000 people from across Canada, holding the Cancer Sword and joining the Army to "FIGHT CANCER"...
Take a moment to think, if there was ONE wish that you most would want to come true.
What is it, that you would wish the most for 2024??
