The pool features a 1m diving board, slide, closed change rooms, ANTI starting blocks, and multiple water depths for whatever you and your family need. The 2026 season is done for Kin Pool!
Thank you to all our lane and public swimmers, lesson kids, future lifeguards, White Rapids family, maintenance workers, instructors, and lifeguards! We are so blessed to have such a positive and tight-knit community.
We hope everyone has a wonderful year ahead; we will see you for the summer of 2027!

Kin Pool is ending their season with the National Lifeguarding course from August 23 - 28!!🥳
August 23rd : Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm
August 24th - 28th : Mon - Fri from 8:00am - 4:30pm

Cost - $500 (includes processing fees, Canadian Lifesaving Manual, AMOA manual, f***y pack, pocket mask and whistle)

Prerequisites:
- Must have completed and bring with them on Day 1 proof of: Standard 1st Aid with CPR-C AND Bronze Cross
- 15 years old by last day of course (Passport, Drivers License, BCID, or Birth Certificate for proof of age)
100% attendance is needed
Bring towels, change of clothes, warm clothes, sufficient food, water and snacks

Did you know…
July 19-25th is National Drowning Prevention Week.
The Kin Pool lifeguards wanted to share some important water safety facts:
🛟 Approximately 500 water-related fatalities occur in Canada each year
🛟Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury related deaths for children ages 1-4, and the second for children 15 and under
🛟23% of drownings occur during family gatherings near a pool
🛟Learning to swim can reduce the risk of drowning by 88%
🛟Since 2000, the world has cut the drowning rate by 38%
Drowning is preventable! Always be water smart:
⁃ Swim with a buddy
⁃ Stay within arms reach
⁃ Use a lifejacket/PFD
⁃ Educate and prevent

Two weeks ago, our Kin Pool guards gathered for our second inservice of the year. We had a great time refining skills, and ensuring that we were ready to start our public swim and lessons this summer, as well as continue with guarding swim club.
