My number one tip for building your lash and beauty business 💡
You need to focus on your client experience 💆🏼♀️ Your skills don’t matter near as much as providing a 5 star experience for your clients.
This can look like:
- Professionally greeting your client, offer to hang their jacket or bag
- A CLEAN and organized space with no clutter (mess looks lazy)
- A comfortable and cozy bed (think mattress topper, blanket, comfy head pillow, leg pillow)
- Relaxing ambience (diffuser, natural or neutral lighting, a candle, calming music - my favorited is lofi hip-hop beats)
- A comfortable and clean bathroom nearby
- Provide a free lash bath
- Check in on them throughout the appointment to make sure they’re comfortable
- Snacks or candies your client can take on the road when they’re done

It’s not uncommon that after taking a lash course, you feel overwhelmed, stuck, not sure what to do, but you know you want to start making money and getting clients on your lash bed 💰
With over a decade in this industry, these are the most helpful tips I’ve found when starting out your lash business. Start with the basics and foundations. It’s not about creating the perfect instagram posts and being a marketing expert or getting an expensive photoshoot done.
It’s about being intentional with who you want to provide your services to and what you can do to nurture them and yourself as a new lash artist 🫶🏻
