We are a 100% VOLUNTEER-based organization located in the Parry Sound/Muskoka, Ontario region. Animals in our care are fostered in a home environment with our loving volunteers. Fundraising and Donations make it possible to save lives. Every penny raised goes directly to the veterinary care of animals in our rescue who would otherwise not have a second chance. 🚨WINNIE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 🚨
Our sweet Winnie girl 🩷is all healed from her spay and she is available for adoption.
We would like to start off by saying thank you 🙏🏿to Page, Tyler and family for giving Winnie the soft spot to land that she so desperately needed. Page has Winnie's daughter from the last litter that Winnie had back in January. The puppy was super sick and there were even discussions about euthanasia of the puppy. The puppy pulled through but because of "this" Page has had a huge soft spot for Winnie and Winnie has been spoiled rotten since coming into the home - WINNIE so deserved the extra TLC after all she's been through.
Thank you Page🙏🏿 for being that person for Winnie- we appreciate it.

Winnie 🩷 is a really sweet girl and her whole entire life she has been used as a breeding machine and has mothered many many many many puppies in her short 6 years of life. We were told that she was the best mom and ALL of her puppies had wonderful temperaments.
She is the biggest suck and loves to be loved.
NOW is the time for Winnie time ⏰and she can just get to dog 🐕.

🚨FOSTER NEEDED ASAP🚨

It will be a 6-8 week commitment - they will be spayed & neutered/vaccinated at 12-14 weeks and then can go to their forever homes.
We have been asked if we can intake them this weekend.

🚨MAGGIE IS LOOKING FOR A FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME 🏡🚨
*Over the short time ⏰we've spent with her, we feel this is the best option for her.
Do you remember Maggie?
She is the sweet girl who had our whole community holding its breath as she travelled along Hwy 400, Hwy 518, Oastler Park Drive, McDougall Rd and surrounding areas — scared, confused, and dangerously close to traffic more times than we want to think about.
When we say Maggie had 9 lives, we mean it.
There were many sleepless nights, and thanks 🙏🏿 to community sightings, tracking, food stations, cameras, teamwork, and a whole lot of patience, Maggie was safely secured. She completed her legal stray hold and officially came into Cottage Paws Rescue.
Since then, Maggie has been given the chance to decompress in a calm, loving foster home with people she trusts. She has received vet care, antibiotics after having porcupine quills removed, patience, kindness, and safety.
Anna & Kevin stepped up to the plate to foster when Maggie needed it the most. Maggie was already familiar with them. Maggie had chosen to hang out at their home when she was on the run so it was a comfortable place for her to go.
We knew it would be short term as they both work very long hours away from home. Anna and Kevin have given the stability that Maggie needed at the beginning of her journey.
We have been helping with Maggie so this situation could work.
Maggie is looking for a foster-to-adopt or adoptive home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace.
She needs the stability.
She is estimated to be around 1–2 years old and approximately 70 lbs. She is a girl who wants love and attention, but trust matters to her. After everything she has been through, she needs someone patient, kind, and committed to helping her feel safe.
Maggie has been around other dogs and is very friendly and well mannered. She has not been tested with cats, so we do not know how she would do in a home with them. Maggie is untested with young children, but she has done well with a child aged 12 and older. She will need a home that understands decompression, slow introductions, and the importance of giving a rescue dog time to settle.
There is a spay booked and she will be brought fully up to date on vaccines, and Cottage Paws Rescue will guide her adopter through what is needed.
This girl’s story could have ended very differently. Instead, she has been given a new beginning — and now she needs the right person or family to help her write the rest of it.
