Each country has its own criteria. For example:
Canada focuses heavily on intent to study + ties to home country + financial proof.
Australia (through the Genuine Student requirement) may assess study relevance, immigration risk, and long-term intent differently.

There are now two new eligibility requirements that will apply to all asylum claims made on or after June 3, 2025.
