November 20th is Revolution Day in Mexico. Need another reason for a Margarita?
In 1962, the STM built 25 metro stations, over 20 kms of tunnel, and ventilation posts using existing technologies in 4 1/2 years. Fast forward to 2016.... after 50 years of technological advances, the STM is replacing one Ventilation System ( Poste de Ventilation) on Bishop St., and disrupting all city life and business in it's path. 200 metres of tunnel. Project duration: 42 months. Yes, that's 3 1/2 years if completed on schedule. Progress shoud be our beloved Montreal's new motto.
