Yes. Pick Thai has a valid alcohol permit.

First and foremost Vilay has left a legacy and it is embedded on the walls of Pick Thai restaurant but also in the minds of its valued employees. Her legacy is comprised of a vision, hard work, preparation, leadership, trainer, moral compass, dedication, goal to succeed and many more. She has passed the torch to the new owners who will continue to deliver the same service plus more to customers. We wish Vilay the best of luck with the new road she will lead to.

New administration would like to inform you all during this period of transition in ownership that there are adjustments on service, operations, minor delays, etc. Also the alcohol permit is pending approval from the regie des alcools du Quebec. Thank you for your understanding and we will let you know when it is approved.

Pick Thai has been in business for more than 8 years and thriving thanks to you all, especially our most loyal customers. I opened this restaurant without having any experience and not clear understanding of what I’m getting into, but with a conviction that my food plus beautiful, warm ambiance will overcome lack of experience
It was not easy but that’s exactly what happened
Now I have lots of experience, restaurant going strong but I’m now 8 years older and time came for “young blood “ to take over . Starting October Pick Thai will have new owner, who is just as dedicated to continue providing you with the same great food and service as I’ve provided ( I hope I have) you with.
Please support her just as you supported me
You will see me around for the next few months as I will help new owners make transition smooth, by the way most of the staff will stay
So for those of you I will not see in person in the next few days this is goodbye and THANK YOU!
But if you in the restaurant in the next few days, I hope to say goodbye in person

The last two helping specifically to the most vulnerable, children and old, both of them functioning inside Ukraine
Moving forward we’ll continue with the same principle though charities may vary

Brownstein: N.D.G. restaurateur donating profits to Ukrainian relief Pick Thai owner and chef Vilay Douangpanya has pledged to donate her net profits from Tuesday night sales to Ukraine through the Red Cross.
