Great racing at the Summer Classic at the Circuit Mont-Tremblant. 2nd step of the podium for us behind a Formula Atlantic that has just too much performance compared to the SR3, but the Radical is absolutely a joy to drive at the limit at this fabulous track!

Our incredible exhaust system kept us under the restrictive 92db level and gave us awesome performance! Thanks to our partner Cortekexhaust.com !

Superbe course à la Classique d'été du Circuit Mont-Tremblant. 2e marche du podium pour nous, derrière une Formule Atlantique bien trop performante par rapport à la SR3, mais la Radical est un vrai plaisir à piloter à la limite sur ce circuit fabuleux !

Notre incroyable système d'échappement nous a permis de rester sous le seuil restrictif de 92 dB et d'obtenir des performances exceptionnelles ! Merci à notre partenaire Cortekexhaust.com !

Cortekexhaust.com is an awesome exammple of national know-how in the field of fabrication and manufacturing of performance/competition exhausts ! Just look at the workmanship of this awesome exhaust... and even better yet after testing yesterday at the Mont-Tremblant circuit, it's confirmed, we pass sound testing, the motor came back to life and we trimmed 3.5 secs a lap in the process... a 1:40 with last year's tires...

Absolute nail biter of a National Championship final of the Formula Prototype Challenge Canada series at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, where we came in to the race with a 27 point advantage on 2nd place.
After being relagated to the back of the pack caused by a red flag in qualifying cost us from putting in a single lap, we put our head down in the 1st race and got to 2nd in 2 corners following an awesome start!
I stayed glued to the leader for 27min of the 30min race till a back marker spun just a few feet ahead of me and forced me to let go of the leader and to add to the action... a minute later the car started sputtering because of a fuel pump issue... I managed to crawl to the checkered flag in 3rd place.
In the final, starting from 3rd, I had one of my starts and managed to force my way through to 1st place by passing the leader on the outside of corner 2 on cold tires... absolute send! Then pulled a 5 sec lead which I managed to the end of the 40min race!
So I'm the 2024 Formula Prototype Challenge Canada Radical class Champion!

Clou absolu d'une finale de Championnat National de la série Formula Prototype Challenge Canada au Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, où nous sommes arrivés à la course avec 27 points d'avance sur la 2e place.
Après avoir été relégués à l'arrière du peloton à cause d'un drapeau rouge en qualification qui nous a coûté un seul tour, nous avons baissé la tête dans la 1re course et sommes arrivés 2e dans 2 virages après un départ génial !
Je suis resté collé au meneur et pilote en 2ieme position au Championnat pendant 27 minutes sur les 30 minutes de course jusqu'à ce qu'un ret**dataire à fait un tête à queue à quelques pieds devant moi et me force à lâcher le meneur… et à ajouter à l'action... une minute plus t**d, la voiture a commencé à crachoter à cause d'un problème de pompe à essence... J'ai réussi à ramper jusqu'au drapeau à damier en 3e place.
En finale, en partant de la 3e place, j'ai pris l'un de mes départs et j'ai réussi à me frayer un chemin jusqu'à la 1re place en dépassant le meneur à l'extérieur du virage 2 avec des pneus froids... un envoi absolu! J'ai ensuite pris une avance de 5 secondes que j'ai réussi à maintenir jusqu'à la fin de la course de 40 minutes !
Je suis donc le champion 2024 de la catégorie Radical du Formula Prototype Challenge Canada !

Awesome final result from a weekend filled with ups and downs that saw us start both heats in last place after qualifying on Pole by more than 2 secs.... What stories we have on this one!

But in the end what counts is that we started both heats at the back of the field of 12 drivers and pulled our way to the lead of both heats! Was not a walk in the park for this race, by no means... hopefully I can get a video of the best parts of the action!

Superbe résultat final après un week-end rempli de hauts et de bas qui nous a vu démarrer les deux manches en dernière position après avoir obtenu la pole avec plus de 2 secondes d'avance... Que d'histoires à raconter sur ce week-end !

Mais au final, ce qui compte, c'est que nous avons démarré les deux manches à l'arrière du peloton de 12 pilotes et que nous avons pris la tête des deux manches ! Cette course n'a pas été une promenade de santé, en aucun cas... j'espère pouvoir faire une vidéo des meilleurs moments de l'action !

Awesome weekend that included racing in two classes with my Radical in the Formula Prototype Challenge Canada and the FrankenVolks in GT3 of the Pirelli GT sprints!

Both cars could not be more different, from precision to shear brute force... a true test to adapting from diverse driving styles, track lines and corner speeds!

For the FrankenVolks, unfortunately after a hard-fought heat at the top of the class, the newly acquired Tremec transmission blew up and that was the end of the weekend for it.

For the Radical SR3, on Saturday at my 1st race in the series, I finished 3rd overall amongst the other Radicals, Revolution Cars, Formula Renaults and a Formula Atlantic.

In the final on Sunday, I was able to get a 2nd place finish in the Radical class behind a larger engine version of the SR3... very pleased with my performance and looking forward to the next race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park at the end of September!

Week-end génial qui comprenait des courses dans deux classes avec mon Radical dans le « Formula Prototype Challenge Canada » et le FrankenVolks en GT3 de Pirelli GT Sprints!

Les deux voitures ne pourraient pas être plus différentes, de la précision à la force brute... un véritable test pour s'adapter à des styles de conduite variés, aux lignes de piste et aux vitesses en virage!

Pour le FrankenVolks, malheureusement après une manche âprement disputée en tête de la classe, la transmission Tremec nouvellement acquise a explosé et c'était la fin du week-end pour elle.

Pour le Radical SR3, samedi lors de ma 1re course de la série, j'ai terminé 3e au classement général parmi les autres prototypes Radical, Revolution, Formule Renault et une Formule Atlantique.

Lors de la finale de dimanche, j'ai pu obtenir une 2e place dans la catégorie Radical, derrière une plus grosse cylindrée du SR3... très satisfait de ma performance et impatient de participer à la prochaine course au Canadian Tire Motorsport Park à la fin septembre!

Well the 1st one is in the books... 1st time the car was put in gear and that I was actually driving the car...

After my 1st 15min on track with 2 year old tires, I qualified 5th out of 9 Radicals that were onsite and finished just off the podium in 4th place, not bad for a guy that sat in the car for the first time and for a car that was completely rebuilt from the ground up...

Can't wait to install new tires and attack the track next weekend at the 2023 Calabogie Summer Classic !

Eh bien, la 1ère est dans les livres... 1ère fois que la voiture a été mise en vitesse et que je conduisais la voiture...

Après mes premier 15 minutes en piste avec des pneus usagées de + de 2 ans, je me suis qualifié 5ème sur 9 Radicals qui étaient sur place et j'ai terminé juste à côté du podium à la 4ème place, pas mal pour un gars qui s'est assis dans la voiture pour la première fois et pour une voiture qui a été entièrement reconstruit à partir de zéro et qui n’avais jamais avancé sous son pouvoir avant la qualification...

J'ai hâte d'installer de nouveaux pneus et d'attaquer la piste le week-end prochain lors de la Calabogie Summer Classic 2023 !
