We're almost already 25% into 2024 which is CRAZY to think about!

Every month, for each and every partner at the agency, we do what we call a "Creative Breakdown" going over each of the ads launched that month, their results, notes on each ad...

And we wrap it up with an "Action Step Report" with all of our recommendations as to how we could replicate the success of our best ads or improve on our "not-so-good" ones.

Why You Should NOT Use LLAs & Interests With Facebook Ads 03/19/2024

I strongly believe that broad audiences are the future of Meta and TikTok.

And I believe this to be the case for 3 reasons:

1. You know, some day, you'll have to go broad. It's a fact. As a business scales, no interest or LLA will be big enough to sustain all of its ad spend.

2. Ad platforms all heavily use AI to scrape your landing page, ad copy, and every element of your ad from words to colors, emotions, demographics of a character used in an ad, etc. And that same information is then used to target the right audience, automatically.

3. Using interests is a crutch for poor creative craftmanship. A great ad will make its way to the right person, because of scenario #2.

Consider this example for a second:

You're an e-commerce brand, advertising in the US, nation-wide.

The total size of this broad audience is, let's say, 200M people.

But then, your friendly neighborhood marketer at your local networking comes at you and tells you:

"Add a list of 10 interests to your ad set, your ads will perform better!"

So, you listen to him and do so... But now, your audience size goes from 200M people to 6M people.

Which you've now cornered yourself to face 2 eventual problems:

1. Assuming a $10 CPM, you'll tap out the whole audience after $60k in ad spend.... Might seem far right now, but with the amount of clients I've seen spending $10k a day, that's less than a week of ad spend at that scale. No bueno.

2. Your ads most likely will work with the interest! YAY, you found winning ads! Or did you? Because for many, when they try to run that same ad concept to a broad audience, it'll fail. Why? They weren't using a mass market desire. The concept was built for such a narrow audience, that it only worked at small scale...

And if you watched some of my old videos, for an ad concept to be considered a winner, it must sustain a certain amount of ad spend, for a certain period of time.

This is the MAIN point I want to make here. I'll start and end this email with the same statement:

You HAVE to use broad, some day.

Why not do it now?

Get your ad account, pixel and algorithm trained for it.

Start the right way, and build your ad account to sustain you today, next week and 5 years from now.

Want a quick and cost-effective way to make unlimited ad variations?

Use AI.

Now, WAIT before you skip this email and roll your eyes.

"Ugh, not another ChatGPT tutorial!"

No, indeed not.

We can make up to 150 ads a month across all client accounts at the firm.

And frankly, costs and time, add up, especially when it comes to UGC.

1. Do research and script a new UGC video.

2. Reach out to content creators in our network + Get into an agreement.

How We Took A Brand From $60K/Month To $140K/Month In 4 Months 03/05/2024

One of the things I sometimes dislike about running an online business is the lack of "in person" human relationships.

Isolation behind a monitor can take a toll on you!

But as I was in Dubai 2 weeks ago (full video on the "why" coming out shortly), a client of ours, who just so happened to have recently moved there, invited me for dinner.

I love meeting our partners in person, so I gladly agreed.

Man was a great guy, we had amazing italian food, and went for a joyride in the 911 after dinner together.

But more importantly, a great personal relationship like this was first created from a strong business one.

This client was initially introduced to me via a referral from my network.

We grew their brand from $60k a month (July 2023) to $140k/m (November 2023).

Given they're in a quite "restricted" industry, we started the year off with an unplanned ad account ban, which set things back a bit... But we nonetheless ended January at $125,000, or more than twice as much as they were making before working with us.

How To Stop Scam Facebook Pages From Stealing Your Ads 02/14/2024

2 weeks ago, catastrophe struck...

Our client woke up to dozens of Instagram DMs from worried customers:

A handful of Instagram accounts and pages with weird, random names, were advertising their products, stealing their ad creatives, and claiming to be their brand.

Within 5 days only, our client's website conversion rate in the US plummeted by over 50%, and the DMs from worried prospects multiplied by the day...

It hasn't been uncommon for larger e-commerce brands to be victims of such impersonation scams by other entities.

Which creates a hell of a scenario for the "victim" brand:

I’ve been sitting on this announcement for weeks now, and am more than excited to bring these news with you all.

Wizo Media was initially created in 2020, almost 3 years ago now, as a web design agency.

The name “Wizo” was chosen for “Wise” and “Wizard”.

And “Media”, well, because that’s what all agencies had back then, am I right? 😂
