As a product of the feminist movement, international women’s day was created to resist the patriarchal system and fight for women’s equal rights.
However, one should wonder how a western concept encompasses the global realities of all women. How do marginalized women, indigenous women, black women or women in developing countries fit into this concept.
Join us tomorrow for a live session where will discuss the contributions of woman’s day to our current experience as well as its limitations.
