We created the illustration based on The Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity vision. They wanted 5 different characters, to represent the diverse histories of Two-Spirit, q***r, trans-Black, Indigenous, and People Of Colour (2SQTBIPOC) communities.

The vector shape illustration was created in Figma as well. We started with the first version, and after a few iterations, we got to the final version.

The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity was founded in 2005, works to stop bullying, discrimination and homophobia in schools and communities in Canada, and abroad.

We created this illustration for their forum series on 2SQTBIPOC histories.
