It’s not better to give up when something is hard, even if that’s what you saw your mom, sisters and other women around you do

You don’t need to be quiet

You don’t need to be “nice”

You don’t need someone to save you or give you permission or tell you when you’re ready

You’ll never be ready if you keep waiting

The key is to walk with fear and believe that you can

Sure, you were probably taught to work hard and strive for perfection

So you learned to follow the rules

You excelled at school, made your family proud, got a great job

You jumped through the hoops, worked your tail off, and now you find yourself feeling like it wasn’t enough

Like it’s not enough

Like *you’re* not enough

But you are 💪

The only problem is that you learned to stay safe by striving to be someone you’re not, rather than embracing who you are and what you love

You were fed a story that you’re supposed to be good at everything and that you’re responsible for other people’s experience of you

You’re not

When you make the shift from trying to be perfect and judging yourself according to an impossible standard, life becomes more fun

When you start asking questions and listening to what people have to say, not from an energy of needing to prove yourself, but with genuine curiosity, life becomes much more interesting

When you start speaking up because you have something to say but you don’t need to be *right* about it, people start paying more attention

You can be messy, vulnerable and brave 💥

Your humanity is so much more interesting than your perfection

When LJ started this company, she got a lot of advice about being the face of Shine+, that people are here for *her*. The truth we've learned over the years? Shine+ is only as powerful as our community. We're the result of the connections between each person who joins a group, who shows up vulnerably in a session, willing to listen, to go deep, to get curious and find out what they can't see that might be the key to their next level.

As we continue to grow, we are so excited to see how Shine+ evolves to serve ambitious founders, leaders and entrepreneurs in their mission to create outsized success on their own terms—and have fun doing it!

As a leader in my organization, I used to feel like it was my responsibility to save everyone from challenging situations. But I've learned that it's not my job to fix everything. Instead, I focus on taking care of my own “responsibility pie" and letting others take ownership of their work.

The best stories come from failure. Don't be afraid to fail and create your own amazing story.

Trust yourself. You know better than anyone what is best for you.
