According to police, a person waiting to check in at a hotel near Bay Street and Adelaide Street West around 4:30 a.m. was involved in a verbal altercation with three individuals ahead of them in line. The situation escalated into a physical assault, during which the victim’s personal belongings were stolen. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.
