In July 2025, Ashley Hannington attended the inaugural Canadian Piercing Education Series in Victoria, British Columbia.

This event was hosted by Proper Poke Studio in Victoria and attracted attendees from across the country and included APP (Association of Professional Piercers) educators.

The two-day seminar provided advanced practices and updated techniques along with learning about Goldsmithing and Jewelry Photography & Lighting.

In attendance were fellow bodypiercers and studio owners, as well as prominent body jewelry suppliers.

Ashley was the sole participant chosen from Atlantic Canada after an application an approval process.

This year marks her 10 year anniversary as a body piercer.
