NIGHT HOWL RECORDS "PHYSICAL MEDIA HUNGER" ☠⚰
In 1994, DARKTHRONE released "Transilvanian Hunger" — a cold, raw, and uncompromising landmark that helped define the second wave of Norwegian Black Metal. Its stark black-and-white cover, haunting atmosphere, and minimalist darkness became one of the most recognizable images in Extreme Metal history.
Here at NIGHT HOWL, we present "Physical Media Hunger" — a direct reflection of what drives our passion: the obsession with vinyl records, CD's, cassettes, underground music, and the ritual of holding the music in your hands.
In a world of endless streaming, there is still something sacred about physical media: the artwork, the packaging, the smell of print, the weight of a record, the crackle of a needle, the snap of a cassette case, the shine of a CD under candlelight.
This image pays reverent homage to one of the greatest Black Metal albums of all time while celebrating the hunger that keeps collectors, diehards, and underground music fans alive.

💀 THE NIGHT HAS A VOICE. AND IT HOWLS. 💀
We are dropping the ultimate badge of honor for the true underground diehards.
Take a look at our brand new sticker design! We didn’t want to give you just any generic merch, so we went completely feral with this concept.
We meticulously chose this gritty, decaying skull to represent the raw, heavy, and unapologetic spirit of the music we live for. From the cracked, weathered textures to the inverted cross etched right onto the forehead, this design screams pure, unadulterated Heavy Metal energy. It’s dark, it’s sinister, and it belongs plastered on your guitar case, your skateboard, your record crate, or your favorite venue's bathroom mirror.

300 copies. Black wax. No repress.
That's the whole story with ABRADED's 'Descendants Of The Swamp' 7" on Maggot Stomp. The label doesn't do filler runs. They press it, it sells, it's gone. 🔥
Here's what you're looking at: heavy black vinyl, original insert still tucked inside, and that unmistakable Maggot Stomp center label staring back at you. The kind of small-run pressing that disappears from distros in a weekend and quietly climbs in value on the second-hand shelf.
Even used copies hold their weight in collector circles, and for good reason. A 300-press number means something when it lands in your crate.
Real ones already know.
So tell us, what's the smallest pressing in your collection right now? Drop the band and the run size in the comments. We want to see what you've been hoarding.

2:14am. Still awake. Still not sorry.
Anyone else do their best crate digging when the rest of the house is asleep? Just us, a heavy blanket, and the blue glow of a laptop hitting the shrink wrap on a sealed copy of ACIDEZ's "Don't Ask For Permission" LP.
There's something about holding a fresh gatefold at this hour that hits different. No distractions. No rush. Just you and the record.
A fresh batch just landed at the shop. Black vinyl, gatefold jacket, heavy insert, and printed inner sleeve. Street hardcore at its rawest, the way Acidez does it best.
Grab one before the morning crowd wakes up ⚡
Who's up with us tonight? Drop your late-night spin in the comments.

☠ NEW ARRIVAL: CANNIBAL CO**SE – "CHAOS HORRIFIC" Blue Smoke Gatefold Vinyl ☠
Death Metal royalty has returned to tear your speakers apart. We just stocked the crushing 16th studio album from the kings of gore, CANNIBAL CO**SE—and it’s pure auditory butchery!
This jaw-dropping cover art by Vince Locke perfectly sets the tone for the absolute sonic onslaught waiting within these grooves.
We are spinning the incredibly sick, limited Blue Smoke variant—a striking contrast to the blood-soaked chaos of the music.
🪓 THE SONIC SLAUGHTER
Produced by Erik Rutan, "Chaos Horrific" delivers a nuclear-powered crunch. Expect the signature, pulverizing rhythms of Alex Webster and Paul Mazurkiewicz, monstrous riffs from Rob Barrett, and Corpsegrinder’s unmatched, neck-snapping vocal delivery.
Tracks to destroy your neck to: "Overlords of Violence," "Summoned for Sacrifice," and "Blood Blind."

Lay Down Your Soul To The Gods Of BLACK VINYL ☠⚰🤘
In an era dominated by neon variants, limited-edition splatters and picture discs, it’s easy to get distracted by the visual spectacle of modern pressings. But for the true archivist, the ultimate statement of devotion has always been—and will always be—Traditional BLACK VINYL.
While modern coloured variants are still definitely a cool addition to the vinyl record shelf, serious collectors understand a fundamental truth: a record isn't a fashion accessory. It’s a sonic vessel.
Die-hard collectors don't spin a record to look at the wax; they drop the needle for the unrelenting music contained within the grooves.
Traditional BLACK VINYL represents the music in its purest, most timeless form. It is the heavyweight, quiet-grooved standard that carried heavy metal through the underground and into the history books. Trends fade, colors bleed out, but BLACK WAX is eternal.
To the purists who value sonic devastation over visual novelty: what is the crown jewel of your BLACK VINYL collection?
Drop your setup and your rarest BLACK VINYL pressings in the comments below. 💿⚡

500 copies worldwide. White wax. Prosthetic Records. ACxDC's Satan Is King tells you everything a pressing spec is supposed to tell you. 🤍
Color variant, label tier, copy count. These aren't decoration. They're the difference between a record you grab now and one you chase on Discogs five years from now for triple the price.
Powerviolence on stark white vinyl, ceiling of 500, reissued by a label that actually knows how to handle mastering and pressing plant selection. That's not hype. That's just reading what's in front of you.
Once you learn to read the specs, the hunt gets a lot easier. You stop overpaying. You stop sleeping on the ones that matter.
Real ones already know. If you don't yet, stick around. We talk about this stuff because we live it. 🔥

03/22/97. Jena V., bedroom floor, 089 of 300. 🔥
Maggot Stomp pressed ABRADED to seven inches of black wax and walked away. No repress. No represses promised. Jena hunted her copy through a tape-trader in Cleveland and scrawled the date on the dust sleeve before the needle even hit.
Flash too harsh, carpet too thin, neighbors already pounding the wall. She didn't care. Three minutes of pulverizing hardcore and the room belonged to her.
That's the thing about a one-and-done pressing. You're not just buying a record. You're buying a night you'll remember decades later.
The pressing number fades. The night it soundtracked doesn't.
Anyone else got a 7-inch they'll never let go of? Drop the title below. 🤘

Deathgasm Records pressing in hand. Kentucky death metal that never got its flowers.
Abominant's "Where Demons Dwell" pulled from the stack tonight. Sealed jewel case, 1996 original, the kind of disc that's been waiting in the dark for somebody to crack it open and let it breathe.
Mike May's vocals carry that thick Louisville crunch. The riffs sit somewhere between Massacre and old Bolt Thrower, heavy and uncompromising, built for basement shows and tape trading circles long before anyone was streaming anything.
Real ones know the Deathgasm catalog ran deep with bands the bigger labels slept on. Abominant was one of them. Still is.
Lights low. Disc in the tray. Underground is where this one lives. 🔥
