We are delighted to have successfully conducted our dental education event for seniors on April 23rd, in collaboration with PCHS and Dental College Toronto at 310 Bristol Road East (community centre and library), Mississauga

The old gag in Canada is that we actually have five seasons, not just four: summer, fall, winter, spring, and tax season buried somewhere between the last two 😎. As silly as this joke is, it is a reminder of the importance for all Canadians to do their due diligence and file their annual income tax. This can be a convoluted and even stressful a process, but this year CANSEF has got an event to help. Its free tax clinics are starting text week and our staff will help interested parties walk through the tax filing process, note some tips and strategies, and in the end help take the burden of the tax filing away. The Super Bowl and the Olympics were great this past weekend but so was getting out for some community engagement. The CANSEF team paid a visit to the Mississauga Long Term Care Facility on Sunday for a the most creative and fun nail art session. The CANSEF crew got out the cosmetic bags and left the residents of Mississauga Long Term Care with decorative, colourful nails while making some fantastic friendships on top. Creativity and community: they go together nicely. CANSEF had a chance to assemble a great team of volunteers and have an afternoon of hands-on nail art with residents of the Cooksville Care Centre in downtown Mississauga. Residents were treated to getting their nails done with some of the most colourful and unique creations around. As well, CANSEF got to meet some great people and forge a new relationship within the community it so proudly resides in. Stay tuned for more updates and activities at CANSEF in 2026.
