بعد النجاح الكبير لحفلات «غنّوا معنا» في كندا والولايات المتحدة وأوروبا، تقدّم لكم Maple Arts نسخة جديدة ومميزة في ميسيساغا.

للمرة الأولى، الجمهور هو من يختار برنامج الحفل!
صوّتوا للأغاني التي ترغبون بسماعها والغناء معها، وسيتم اختيار (الأغاني الـ13 الأعلى تصويتًا) لتُقدَّم على المسرح.

من روائع الطرب العربي الأصيل إلى الأغاني الخالدة التي رافقت أجمل الذكريات، أنتم من يصنع هذه الأمسية.

وكما في كل حفلات Sing Along، سيكون الجمهور نجم الحفل، مع توفير كلمات الأغاني رقميًا ليستمتع الجميع بالغناء والمشاركة.

Damascus is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth - 4,500 years of human history inside its walls. Fairuz, the most beloved Arab singer of the 20th century, dedicated several songs to it.

"Bayna Qasyounin Wa Rabwa" places the city between Mount Qassyoun, rising to the north, and the Rabwa garden quarter to the southwest. In just a few verses it carries jasmine, Ghouta light, dawn over the mountain - the full visual vocabulary of Damascus.

This performance is by the Canadian Arabic Orchestra at the Festival of Arabic Music & Arts, from their 2022 Muwashahat concert.

"Enta Omri" (1964) is the song that finally brought together the two most influential figures in 20th-century Arabic music - singer Oum Kalthoum and composer Mohammed Abdel Wahab. Their long-awaited first collaboration was a cultural milestone across the Arab world.

Sixty years later, it remains one of the most cherished works of modern Arabic music.

This performance is by the Canadian Arabic Orchestra at the Festival of Arabic Music & Arts, from our 2021 Nostalgia concert.

🍁 Where art blooms.

"Foq El-Nakhel" is one of the most beloved folk songs in the Iraqi musical tradition. In the 20th century, the voice of Nazem Al-Ghazali (1921–1963) carried it beyond Iraq's borders to the rest of the Arab world. He lived just 42 years.

Iraqi music holds a place of its own among Arab traditions — its maqam vocabulary, vocal style, and emotional register form a school all their own.

This performance is by the Canadian Arabic Orchestra at the Festival of Arabic Music & Arts, from their 2022 Muwashahat concert.

🍁 Where art blooms.

Sayed Darwish (1892–1923), the father of modern Egyptian music, lived just 31 years and changed his country's musical vocabulary in that short time. He moved Egyptian song from Ottoman classical conventions toward the everyday language of Cairo — its workers, vendors, fishermen, and craftsmen.

"El Helwa De," his 1919 dawn song, is still sung in Arab households over a century later.

This performance is by the Canadian Arabic Orchestra at the Festival of Arabic Music & Arts as part of our 2021 Nostalgia concert.

🎬 ميدلي محمد فوزي — Mohammed Fawzi Medley

محمد فوزي عاش ٤٨ سنة فقط (١٩١٨–١٩٦٦)، وبنى فيها مدرسة موسيقية كاملة. مغني، ومُلحّن، ومؤسس أول شركة أسطوانات مصرية، وصاحب الأغاني اللي شكّلت صوت السينما المصرية في عصرها الذهبي.

في حفل "أبيض وأسود" سنة ٢٠٢٤ خصصنا له ميدلي كامل، تكريماً لرجل صاغ مدرسة بنفسه في وقت قصير.

Mohammed Fawzi (1918–1966) lived just 48 years and built an entire musical school in that time. Singer, composer, founder of the first Egyptian-owned record label, and the man whose melodies defined the sound of golden-age Arabic cinema.

At our 2024 Black and White concert we built a full medley around him.
