Were had a fun photography shoot today with the models at the Cool Cat!
Thank you to Noëlla for taking the time to film this commercial at Le Musée acadien de l'Î.-P.-É./Acadian Museum of P.E.I.. It's a beautiful setting with an incredibly devoted team!
What a backdrop to film a great message from Paul D. Gallant! If you've never visited the iconic Mont Carmel church, make sure you do! Also, thank you to the A/V techs with the Province of PEI for filming the Hon. Zack Bell.
It was a real treat to sit and chat with Eileen Chiasson-Pendergast at Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest to film this commercial for the National Acadian Day broadcast. Eileen is a proud Acadian and her message really hits home!
The next commercial up is Angie from Maisons de Bouteilles / Bottle Houses and Alexa from Comité acadien et francophone de l'Est! Notice in the background beside Alexa is one of the Acadian Bells that were buried around the time of the Deportation in PEI. This Bell was found by a farmer while ploughing his field and given to the nearest Acadian settlement at the time in Rollo Bay. The Bell rang each Sunday at St. Alexis Parish in Rollo Bay, but now resides in the community centre. École La-Belle-Cloche is named after this Bell :)
In this commercial for the National Acadian Day broadcast, it features Éliane from La Belle-Alliance Summerside, Keegan from Farmers Bank of Rustico, and Jean Baptiste Roma from Roma at Three Rivers! In some locations, I tried hard to include culturally important aspects of the location. With La Belle Alliance, you'll notice the iconic photo from the moment that Madeleine and Noëlla received news that they'd won their Supreme Court case, which eventually led to the construction of École-sur-Mer :)
