This sweet girl was born and raised in a hoarding situation, but thankfully, she was removed while still fairly young.

Malibu is an absolutely beautiful Siamese-like bunny with impressive ears that seem to adjust according to her mood. While she had very limited human interaction as a baby, she consistently shows an openness and willingness to trust.

A few things to know about Malibu:

💕 Cuddling and calm interactions are the way to her heart. She thrives with gentle, patient interactions and someone willing to accept a slow building connection.

🥕 She will approach for hand-feeding, but she isn’t quite confident enough to take the food from your hand just yet.

🌿 Malibu can be a picky eater. But honestly, I know when I’m nervous, I don’t eat a full meal either! Her appetite seems to reflect her comfort level, so we’ll continue encouraging her and keeping things positive.

🐇 She does fantastic with other bunnies! Malibu has a slightly more dominant personality

🧻 Litter trained and, so far, she has not shown destructive behaviours. Clean bunny.

🧩 Enrichment is her absolute favorite! Hideouts, puzzles, apple tree branches and anything that gives her something interesting to explore are right up her alley.

🐶 She is a little leery of dogs but has shown potential with slow, appropriate introductions.

Most importantly, Malibu needs time and consistency.

She hasn’t had the easiest start to life, and I truly believe there is so much more of her personality waiting to come out once she feels safe and secure. She’s a beautiful girl with so much potential, and we’re looking for someone who understands that earning her trust will be a process — but one that will be incredibly rewarding. 🥰

Your generosity means more than you know. It helps relieve some of the stress that comes with our upcoming veterinary bills and gives the rescue a little extra breathing room.

But what made me smile the BIGGEST was seeing how incredibly well Plushie is adjusting with his new family. I think I miss him more than he misses me. 😅

This is a recent veterinary invoice for spays and neuters only — and it has been paid in full! 🙌🏼
BUT… September is already looking a little scary. We are expecting a similar veterinary bill of at least $1,500–$2,000, which will include 5 spays/neuters along with additional veterinary care.
