There's something to be said for meticulous overplanning 😌👌
I finally imported all the spreadsheets, sprites and star charts I've made so far into GameMaker and (aside from some minor adjustments here and there) everything *just works*. Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming.

Ignoring all the things that AREN'T done yet, this combat system for the new game is looking pretty alright so far 👌

The Edge of Allegoria was an exercise in creative restrictions and operating inside a set of limitations to recreate the nostalgic look and feel of Gameboy era games.

While I've still given myself a few guardrails and rules to follow with this next game, the sandbox I'm playing in now is SO much bigger and WAY more fun.
