For weeks, Club kids have been asking the same question: “When is Willow’s ice cream day?”

Today, they got their answer!
One of our favourite end-of-school-year traditions returned as volunteer Willow served up her annual ice cream sundaes on her final day before summer break.

A BIG BGC thank you to Willow, for giving our children and youth something to look forward to each year and for ending the school year on the sweetest note possible.

The last PA Day of the school year is almost here!

Before summer officially begins, join us this coming Friday, June 26th, for our “School’s Out For Summer” PA Day Camp, a full day of outdoor games, summer crafts, classic warm-weather activities, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the start of summer with friends.

Behind every word of encouragement, every lesson learned, every ride to practice, and every moment of support, there is someone helping a young person believe in themselves.

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, chosen family members, caregivers, mentors, and father figures who show up with guidance, strength, patience, and care in so many different ways.

Happy Father’s Day to all those helping children and youth grow into confident, capable, and caring individuals.

Calling all young musicians, makers, and creators!

Our Music & Makers summer camp week runs from July 27th to 31st, and spaces are still available for children ages 4 to 6. During this playful week, creativity will take center stage as campers explore music and art through singing, movement, and creative projects that bring their ideas to life. From making simple instruments to experimenting with colour and sound, each day invites campers to express themselves in new ways. It’s all about creativity, confidence, and finding their own rhythm while having fun, making a little noise!

With Summer Camp just around the corner, now is the time to secure your child’s spot before registration closes.

We can’t be the only ones who have just now come down from the buzz and excitement of the Butter Tart Festival, right? What a weekend!

As the final runners crossed the finish line and another incredible Butter Tart Trot came to a close, we found ourselves bursting at the seams with gratitude.

Thank you to the North Simcoe Rotaract for organizing such an amazing (and highly-anticipated) community event and for selecting BGC North Simcoe as one of this year’s beneficiaries. The time, energy, and care that goes into creating an experience of this scale is extraordinary.

Thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, participants, and supporters who helped make this year’s sold-out Trot such a success. Whether you ran, walked, cheered from the sidelines, volunteered your time, or supported the event behind the scenes, you played a part in something meaningful.

We were proud to spend the day at our aid station in our “Providing Opportunities Era,” celebrating the power of community and the impact that happens when people come together for a common cause. Your support helps create opportunities for local children and youth to build confidence, develop skills, form connections, and discover their potential.
